Hello Everybody,

We are going to install oracle 10g R2 on new HP Box, can you please share your experience, what all things we need to keep in mind prior and post installation.

Our Database size would be arround 700 GB approx.
Please suggest.

1. Initially what optimal value can we set for OS kernel parameters?

2. If anyone has faced any issue while installing the oracle on HP,how it was fixed.

Please refer me to the good documentation link for installing oracle 10g on HPUX.

Your valuable comments will be highly appreciated.

Do i have to install any OS patchs prior to oracle install.
Any other clue's will be very helpful.
