hey,
I am using OEM for the first time.
Can anyone please tell me how does one check the
initialisation parameters
buffer cache hit ratio
locks
schema
security
storage
from OEM
Please navigate me through this

I think you should use shell-script to check THESE items.
It is not a good idea to see information from OEM.

hi,
so you currently have shell scripts that call sqlplus and run a sql script?
You can create a sql job in OEM to run these scripts.
From most pages on OEM there is a 'jobs' link. From here you just create you sql script and then you can give it a schedule or just run it now.

Ya i just want to know how do u check the above parameters through oracle enterprise manager. Where do we go once we have connected to the DB using OEM

when you installed the DB did you opt for em control if yes then you will have a URL like
http://ip address of server:1158/em
login to this to bring up the gui interface for you database.
you will see the db home page. have a look round here first and see what OEM has to offer.
