Dear Friends,
RMAN>create catalog tablespace recat
error occured in source file:krmk.pc, line:6702
text of failing sql statement :
Oracle error from recovery catalog database:ORA- 00955:name is already
used by an existing object
RMAN-06433:error installing recovery catalog
( I had created tablespace name recat size 10m and extent mgt local
uniform size 128k)

Then why are you creating it again with the same name.Either drop it or reuse it.

You mean to say with the command
create catalog name tablespacename
a new tablespace will be created.....
