Good afternoon,
I've got to migrate a database from 9.2.0.7 to 10.2.0.3.
My database 10.2.0.3 is created and I've already created the tablespaces as it is on the 9.2.0.7 DB.
I've performed a full backup of the 9.2.0.7.
My question is: The full export also has the system ans sys schemas.
Are they going to get imported in the 10.2.0.3 DBs?
It's already created there so I have no idea how this is going to work and what I should expect.
Can someone confirm that I can simply perform a full import and it's going to simply work?
thanks
Nicolas

Hi.
Thanks for the answer.
I can't use DBUA because the project is major and I can't just do that...
We are currently qualifying needs, for Webmethod; It requires a migration to a new version as well, I already got a 10g database and I've been asked to provide this environment with the 9i DB data.
That's how I end up with an exp/imp to 10g.
I will just full import the whole DB then.
Thanks a lot for your help
Nico

Hi.

Seriously, if I could use the original database I would have done that and it would be over, but I can't... It's being used, the application on top is huge, lots of things have to be tested, mainly at application level and the database I've been handed over is already a 10g DB.
Concerning having problems, I don't mean problems at large, I was just worrying about system and sys tablespaces not a problem with data types, relations etc... Which to some extent, I'm expecting.
