I know people worked in oracle 9i sometime in december 2002..
and early in 2003....I wanted to verify the actual oracle
release dates and found two conflicting sites posted below:
site 1:
http://www.ss64.com/orasyntax/versions.html
says oracle 9i R2 released in 2002 (which means its true
someone could have worked in oracle9i in 2002 )
and the other, from oracle corp itself says this:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/support/patches.htm
is the above website talking about patches and not the
actual release dates?
I have learnt oracle in 2003 and learnt 9i...but was not
aware that it was available since 2002 itself..

The grid on the second link is for "latest" patchset, not the original release date of the version of Oracle. For example, Oracle 8i was 8.1.5, but the final version was 8.1.7.4 (I believe).
I didn't go to the first link as I do not know what ss64.com is, but is doesn't sound like an official Oracle site.
