Hello,
I have been asked to 'COMPRESS' a 10g database.
Is this a possibility? Up to what level can the 'database' be compressed?
I know that there is an option to perform table level and tablespace level compression in 10g R2.
Can some one please provide me with some more details or documentation on this topic.
Appreciate your help.
Thank you.
KV

No I am not talking about compressed backup set. This is the RMAN feature in 10g that gives the binary compression of backup pieces. I have used it to good effect.

Michel,
the link that you gave came up with some search results.
But if you see the link that I have sent, I am sure you will know what I meant!
Did the link you sent lead to somethink like the white paper?
Cheers,
KV
