Why did you try and install from the command line? What was wrong with installing the Developer Report Server via the Oracle Installer?

Are you asking about Report Server on the Application Server or the Develoepr Server, that is, the big box in the machine room or on your PC?

The Report Builder should have been installed at the same time as Forms Builder was installed. They both use the OC4J Instance on your PC.

Use 'web.show_document' and any Report Server stuff will be started automatically.

Hi Paradoxkhan

just go to command prompt
and try

rwserver server=<yourservername> batch=yes autostart=yes

it works, you are using autostart=true, use yes instead of true

Hello all,

I have a similar problem with the report server.

I try to start it on a XP box using the following command: rwserver server=rep_acer batch=yes autostart=yes

after start (i really don't know if it starts or not because it doesn't prompt anything), I try to use my application to generate some reports and it pops up the following error:

FRM-41213: Unable to connect to the report server rep_acer.

Also the report server isn't listed in the services.msc application that displays all the windows services installed on the machine.

Please help.

Regards,
Alex

Do not post a new question in an existing thread.

I have split your question into a new thread.

Have you solved your problem?

Why are there two semi-colons after 'Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_01\lib\ext\QTJava.zip'?
