Hello Eeverybody

While checking the free space in the DB, I came across one tablespace (AUDIT_TB) which is 92% used.
This tablespace contains one table(AUD$) and one index.

Is it safe to purge the mentioned table or index to make the tablespace usage below 90%.

Appreciate your view n this.

Thanks for your time.

Regards,
Liam.

Yes, it is safe to purge it.

Just a remark, SYS.AUD$ out of SYSTEM tablespace is not supported (altough documented in Metalink).

Michel

Before you purge sys.aud$ better check on policy. I always backup the table before cleaning it out.

This is your audit table and purging it could cost you your job. I fired one dba for cleaning out sys.aud$ without getting the customers blessing.

But can you purge sys.aud$? Yes you can. Do you really want to do it? Check with the owner of the data.
