Is there anyone can lead me to creating new Calendar to the oracle 9i. I know that the oracle supported 7 kinds of calendar right now but I need to use the other one.

Are you talking about Calendar in Oracle Collaboration Suite or calendar in RDBMS?

I have some problem with the special calendar which is known for oracle. Some days at the calendar when convert from gregorian to my calendar will be increase or decrease (1 day ) for example 13870112 convert to 13870111(It is a leap year)
or some days will e increase for example 13861222 convert to 13861223.
At first I thought because of this problem I should define the new calendar but I think I can modify the existing calendar on the oracle.is n't it?
in order to have a correct date I think I should change some things at oracle but I do not know what should I do.
I use oracle form 6i and my data base is oracle 9i.
Oracle form 6i installed on my laptop and I connect to the oracle data base throught the network on the server side.

You cannot change Oracle, you have to change the procedures you have to convert from your calendar to Gregorian one. I think you have a bug in your procedures.

If you explain what is your calendar maybe I can help you more.

And I do not use any procedure, by using nls_calendar=Persian at registry, oracle convert the date from gregorian to Persian calendar ownself.

Tell me what are the dates that are a problem and what you did to see this.
I will verify them with my own program maybe there is an error in Oracle calendar, did you search on Metalink?

Michel

There is a field with date data type, I enter the forllowing dates and I can see the following results after pressing the tab button:
for example:

(This problem happens from tenth till last day of last month of each year)
13861217--------> 13861218
13861220--------> 13861221

(This problem is for the first day of first month of each year)
13870101--------> #########
13820101--------> #########
13650101--------> #########

(This problem is related to the leap year)
13870415-------->13870414(1387 is a leap year)
13870225-------->13870224(1387 is a leap year)
