Dear team

after i droppped the tablespace once again i recreated the tablespace with same filename.the above error popups,however when i query the dba_data_files i didn't find any files similar which i'm trying to use in new tablespace.

ORA-27038: skgfrcre: file exists
OSD-04010: <create> option specified, file already exist.

Now I wanted to recreate a tablespace with the datafile already exists.Can I do that

File already exists on OS.
Use "reuse" option if you keep the same file size or drop it at OS level.

Dear team

After dropping the tablespace including contents the table structure asscociated to that tablespace also gets dropped.Now after restarting the services I am getting the below error while shutting down the database USING SHUTDOWN CLAUSE IN THE SYS USER.

ORA-0900 INVALID SQL STATEMENT.

I WANTED TO SHUTDOWN THE DATABASE.COULD YOU PLEASE HELP ME,,

What command did you issue to shutdown the database?

Do you see any errors in the alert log?

Yes I am a SYSDBA.

I HAVE ISSUED SHUTDOWN CLAUSE IN THE SQLPLUS.

I AM GETTING THE BELOW ERROR.PLEASE HELP ME TO RECTIFY THE BELOW

1/ DON'T POST IN UPPER CASE
2/ Copy and paste the whole SQL*Plus session INCLUDING the connection

1)put the CAPSLOCK off of your keyboard.Don't write in capital letters
2)Post the entire session
3)If you still write in capital letters,you will be ignored
