I'm working with a client that insists on using LDAP for the Oracle user. After searching for a few days I have not been able to find install instructions that show what needs to be setup for everything to work correctly or instructions on how to move the oracle user to ldap.

Right now the database is extremely slow, the load avg, and iowait are very high but this may not have anything to do with it.

Has any one used ldap for the Oracle user on any OS?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Oracle only supports OID (Oracle Internet Directory) or you have to transit through OVD (Oracle Virtual Directory).
