Finding size of Oracle Database

Hi,
I am looking for a way to find the size of my Oracle Database (Oracle 10g).

Based on some information I have, there are two things to look at:
1) one is your data is growing
2) second is your datafiles are growing.

Based on the two points mentioned above, what does size of database indicate?
1) Does it mean size of Data in the Blocks of Extents in Segments of TableSpace?
Or
2) Does it mean the size occupied by the Datafiles?

Could you please give me some information.
