Hi,

Anybody knows why SAP recommends to remove HASH join?

Note 124361 recommends setting hash_join_enabled = false

and I would like to know the reason for it, because in the system

uses SORT_MERGE join instead (and IMHO it's much worse).

just to let everyone know

this means that the optimizer does not use any hash joins when calculating the access plan.
